About me.

I’m from NYC, and now I live in the UK.

I’ve had jobs in sales, pattern making, and even worked for NASA. I view things from a wide palette of experiences. I’ve developed skills in UX design, UX research and service design. This combination helps take ideas from 0 - 1 and beyond.

Outside of work, I’m a shed-loving, outdoor cooking, father of girls, managing to spend time on solo projects too. I might create a startup, write a book, teach a course, or just go for a walk.

I’m really proud of the designer I am becoming and right now, anything is possible.

Ministry of Justice | Sr. Service Designer

Jan 2023 - Feb 2024 | Glasgow and London

My first encounter with public services allowed me to introduce novel methods. Holistic co-design activities including leaders, staff and external partners allowed new ways of working, digital capabilities, and operational processes to be defined.

NEOM | Service Design Lead

Jan 2022 - Dec 2022 | Glasgow and Saudi Arabia

I led a design team to realise an epic vision for tourism at a luxury destination in Saudi Arabia. Together we stretched the expectations for seamless experiences. Service design helped to integrate the work of many teams towards a single vision.

ConAgra Brands | Design Lead

June 2021 - Dec 2022 | Chicago (remote)

Working with a world-class team at Momentum design and Accenture gives rise to great opportunities. Together we unpacked a transformative vision for data accuracy across a CPG supply chain that led to the introduction of new roles, technology, and ways of working. Innovation occurred most around data visualisation and dashboard UX.

Travis Perkins | Design Lead

Feb 2021 - June 2021 | London (remote)

Working with SERCO means working with large companies. I had the pleasure of leading the experience labs team on a 3-month innovation project with Travis Perkins, (merchant retailers known for plumbing and heating supplies). This project involved innovative methods. We setup a founder’s journey to drive collaboration between us and the client.

The MDU | CX Consultant

Oct 2020 - Feb 2021 | London (remote)

Navigating a 150-year-old indemnity coverage provider to new ideas involved negotiating strong opinions. The client’s business, threatened by low-cost digital alternatives found new perspectives in the voice of the customer - introduced by co-design activities and rapid concept development.

EDF Energy | Head of Design

Sept 2019 - Oct 2020 | London(hybrid)

Launching a P/O/C is a great way to learn. Applying this method to discover the future needs of a leading UK Energy supplier was innovative. Along the way we acquired 400K customers and came to a greater understanding of strategic recommendations for the wider UK residential energy business.
